Danish helmets prior to the Second World War
Once does only need few words to describe the Danish head gear section of any mobilisation depot prior to the Second World War - soft caps and M/23 helmets.
Although it had its shortcomings (you didn't hear very well wearing it) it was a well made helmet of a very high quality. Good steel with good space between shell and the skull of the wearer. It offered adequate protection, and could even deflect 8mm riffle ammunition at 300+ meters.
The M/23 helmet was never exported and is solely an experience reserved for the Danish soldier of the Inter War years.
